Be the Master of your Skincare Routine!
SKINCARE DOESN’T NEED TO BE SCARY!
With literally hundreds of products on the market, all promising the best results, it can feel daunting and costly!
It’s not about finding the most expensive product or following the latest skin trend on social media.
The most essential part of picking the right skincare products for you, is knowing your skin type!
THREE PRODUCT MUST HAVES TO START YOUR JOURNEY TO HEALTHIER SKIN.
A Quality Cleanser
A Hydrating Moisturiser
A Gentle Exfoliator (depending on skin type)
(It goes without saying that an SPF should always be considered when it comes to skincare)!
The Most Common Skin Types;
Dry skin generally feels tight and sometimes flakes. Dry skin can also be itchy and feel uncomfortable.
Oily skin is typically shiny, especially in the T-Zone. Oily skin is susceptible to acne breakouts.
Combination skin is a combo of both dry and oily skin. Some areas on the face will be dry, while other areas are oily. Cheeks and chin are usually drier while forehead and nose are more oily.
If your still not sure what skin type you are;
Try cleansing your skin and leaving it for up to 30 minutes with no product applied. If your skin begins to feel tight, it likely it may be a dry skin type. If the skin becomes quite shiny, its likely an oily skin type and if you feel a mix of dryness and oily, you're likely a combination skin type.
With all three skin types, there is the possibility of the skin being sensitive. With this is mind, it’s important to refrain from using products with parabens or artificial fragrances.
STEP 1.
It’s all about cleansing, hydrating, clearing and protecting.
Regardless if you wear make-up or not, cleansing the skin AM and PM is a must.
Your skin is constantly exposed to pollution, creating a shield of dirt and grime!
Not washing your skin at night gives bacteria and dirt the opportunity to seep into the pores and cause breakouts and irritation.
Fun Fact: The skin actually renews itself at night, so ensuring your skin is fresh and clean is a must!
The following cleansers are highly recommended, depending on skin type;
STEP 2.
Hydration is another key part of your healthy skin routine!
Hydration helps to restore suppleness and fights fine line and wrinkles.
Did you know? Even oily and acne prone skins need hydration!
Top recommendations based on skin type would be;
STEP 3.
Gentle exfoliation at least once per week removes dead skin cells and brightens the skin, better helping products to absorb the skin and allowing the skin to breathe.
* if you have very sensitive or dry/cracked skin avoid exfoliates.

COMMON QUESTION
Do I need to use different products at night?
Yes and no! Yes you can use your AM products at night but there are also other products like retinols and other serums/ creams that work better while you sleep.
During the day protecting the skin is your aim, however at night your goal is rejuvenation. If you are just starting on your new skincare journey, it’s better to start with 3 simple steps and then build on your routine.
Starting too many new products at once, will not only confuse your skin but leave you feeling overwhelmed!
